Bears and Strip Twister....what a combination!

Hibernation Run 2004
Date: Feb 6-8, 2004
Location: Provincetown, Massachusetts

Hibernation Run 2004 is our twelfth annual bear run. We are looking forward to a fun, entertaining and relaxing time in Provincetown. Come experience the beauty and peace of P-town off-season, and meet bears from around New England and all over the country!
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to be on Cape Cod surrounded by friendly bears in a town that is mostly closed down for the season, this is your chance. A number of vendors open just for us this weekend so there will still be plenty for the adventurous to do but if you like sitting by a crackling fire all weekend there is always the chance that you might be snowed in with your own living breathing bear rug!
As we have in past years, we are booking the Beaconlight and Watership Inn guesthouses in Provincetown for this much-awaited weekend. The guesthouses offer a very comfortable space for our members to meet-n-grrrreet as well as the occassional bear nap!

Friday evening after check-in, the fabulous Bayside Betsy's will host our Welcome Party (theme to be announced).

Run announcements will be made at breakfast Saturday Morning.

Saturday afternoon includes a Scavenger Hunt, Teddy Bear Tea Dance, a Hike in the Dunes, and DVD movies during the afternoon.
Rumor has it that a number of other events are also in the works!

Sunday wraps up with the always popular Awards Brunch.

The cost of the run is $185.00 per person for double occupancy rooms if registered before Dec. 31 and $200.pp after that.

There are a limited number of single rooms available, priced at $280 for early registration and $300 after Dec. 31.

There is also a "Run-Only" package, which does not include accomodations and that is priced at $100.00 before Dec. 31 and $115 after.

Prices are based on current membership to the New England Bears. If you are not a member, please add $20 for single membership or $30 for a couples membership (residing at same address).

All registration fees must be paid in full by Jan. 24, 2004.

The full package includes 2 nights accomodations, the Welcome Party, 4 meals (Sat. Breakfast, Sat. Boxed Lunch, Dinner on Sat night, and Sun. Awards Brunch), a T-shirt, admission to the T-Dance, free admission to the A-House dance bar all weekend, admission to the Hospitality Suite and many other treats and surprises.

This is traditionally a small run (+/- 100 bears), so it's great for those of us who dread the "lost in the crowd" feeling of some bear events. Space is limited, and the deposit deadline is approaching fast, so be sure to reserve your space soon!
